How to protect your skin while eating healthily
Maintain you healthy skin with the essential omega-3 fats found in oily fish such as shellfish and salmon to keep your skin supple and fight conditions such as eczema. These omega-3’s have incredible anti-inflammatory powers which can help protect against free radical damage caused by the sun. SkinMed will be releasing their very own high dosage Omega 3 fish oils in the next few months. Look out for further news on this in the next newsletter.

TomatoesTomatoes and other red and pink produce contain a natural pigment and antioxidant called Lycopene which has been shown to aid in the protection against some UV induced skin irritations like erythema by helping the body rid itself of free radicals.  Beta-carotene another antioxidant found in red and orange produce has been shown to help reduce sunburn, while orange and pink citrus fruits have been shown to improve the skins ability to protect itself from the UV rays.
